5/1/2017 1 Comment Photo 4- light paintingFor this week, I decided to shoot some light painting photos. Unedited Edited Aperture: 3.2 Shutter Speed: 15 ISO: 100 I had a bit of a hard time doing this photoshoot, because the flashlight caused the background to light up, and my camera's shutter speed only went up to 15 seconds. Also, my subject kept moving, so her face is blurry in most of the photos. I wish I had some more time to do this shoot, but now I have some tips for when I try light painting next.

4/26/2017 0 Comments Multiple MeFor this project, we learned how to put several images of a subject into the same final photo, and we used Photoshop tools to do it. Multiple Me Motion Off Campus Since I did this project first tri, I had an easy time with it. I liked doing the motion photo because I think the final photo looks really cool and different.
4/24/2017 2 Comments Photo 3-HDRSince we just learned how to shoot and make HDR photos, I decided to shoot those for my assignment this week. Before Editing After Editing Aperture: 8.0 Shutter Speed: 1/1600 ISO: 200 I had a fairly easy time with this shoot, probably because we just learned how to make HDR photos. I also did not use a tripod for most of them, so some were not as aligned as they could of been in the photoshop process.
4/19/2017 0 Comments HDRFor this assignment, we learned how to merge photos with 3 different exposures in Photoshop. When these photos are merged, it creates an image with different exposures in different parts of the image. Best Photo Before Best Photo After I had a lot of fun doing this assignment because it made all my photos look super professional. I did have some issues though, because I didn't use a tripod for most of my photos, so some of mine could not be used because they didn't line up.
4/17/2017 4 Comments Photo 2- NatureThis week I shot nature photos. It was finally warm out, so I could shoot outside. Before Editing After Editing Aperture: 4.5 Shutter Speed: 1/640 ISO: 200 I had a pretty easy time shooting this week, because nature is one of my favorite things to shoot. I am also pretty happy with how my photos turned out this week.
4/13/2017 0 Comments PanoramicsIn this assignment, we learned how to take multiple photos of a scene, and use Photoshop tools to merge them together into a panoramic. For a few of my scenes, the panoramic could not be made because my tripod shifted; but overall I did not have that many problems with my panoramics.
3/30/2017 0 Comments FramingFor this assignment, we learned how to frame our photos in different ways using photoshop. Clipping mask frameGallery framegaussian Blur FrameSprayed strokes frameI learned how to do so many new frames and I am excited to use them for the rest of this class! I think the hardest frame was the Gallery frame because there were a lot of steps, so I am going to have to practice that one.
3/27/2017 0 Comments ColorPhoto #1For this assignment, we were told to shoot color. I had a dance show this weekend, so I chose to take pictures of flowers. Before Editing After Editing Aperture: 3.3 Shutter Speed: 1/30 ISO: 200 I think this shoot went pretty well because I am happy with my pictures. Some of them were blurry or out of focus, but I wasn't using that great of a camera so it makes sense.
3/23/2017 0 Comments Principles of DesignFor this assignment, we practiced shooting photos with some of The Principles of Design in photography. We had to show examples of Balance, Simplicity, Emphasis, Movement, Contrast, Space, Repetition and Rhythm, Proportion and Unity.
I learned a lot in this project because it was applying harder concepts and not just composition techniques like "The Rule of Thirds". My favorite part was being able to go outside and shoot, but it was also hard because it was windy and not very bright outside when I was shooting.
3/20/2017 0 Comments Photo 2 IntroductionMy name is Gita Deshpande. I just finished Photo 1, so going right to Photo 2 is going to be fun. In Photo 1 I learned a lot about camera techniques and composition and now in Photo 2 I hope to get even more skilled at photography. I love taking nature photos, so this tri I hope to go more outside of my comfort zone and to start taking pictures of other things. Here are some examples of my best work from Photo 1: Here are some examples of my worst work from Photo 1:
