6/6/2017 0 Comments final reflectionI feel like I've grown so much as a photographer over the course of this class. Even though I had previous knowledge from Photo 1, I was still able to learn many new things from this Photo 2 class. For example, I find that I love taking nature and macro photos the most, but I also recently just learned that I love shooting portraits. I liked learning about HDR and Panographic photos, because the results are really cool and unique. I think that even though hand stitching my Panographics together was very tedious and annoying, the results are very unique and I would probably do it again if given the opportunity. One thing I will continue to try to improve on, are my light painting photos. Light Painting has always been a challenge for me, but I definitely have improved from Photo 1, and hope that I can continue to get better and better at shooting those photos.
Overall, I've learned a lot in this one short tri. Specifically, I have learned to focus more on the lighting and composition of a photo. I also have practiced getting out of the Auto setting on my camera, and find that when I enter everything in manual, the pictures turn out fantastic. Another thing I've enjoyed learning were the types of different photo frames, they really take the final photo to a whole different level. The photos below are some of my best from the tri.

6/1/2017 0 Comments POrtraitsThis week we had to take studio, non-studio, self and environmental portraits. For this assignment, I had a lot of fun because it was very different to shoot people rather than nature scenes. It was hard at times because of the lighting outside, but I am happy with the end results.
5/30/2017 0 Comments photo 8- panoramicsThis week I took panoramic photos. Unedited vs Edited Aperture: 4.0 Shutter Speed: 1/800 ISO: 400 Overall, I had a fairly easy time with this assignment, but it was hard trying to find time to take these during my busy weekend.
5/24/2017 0 Comments Duplicate styleThis week we learned how to recreate an advertisement using our own photos and text. I learned how to use the white balance adjuster tool, so that my original photos wouldn't have shadow lighting. I also used many different selection tools to cut out the fruit and plastic bag.
5/23/2017 0 Comments Photo 7This weekend, I had my end of the season dance shows, so I thought it would be cool to give everyone a sneak peek of what happens backstage and between shows. Aperture: 3.2 Shutter Speed:1/60 ISO: 400 I learned how to work with the lighting, and had so much fun shooting photos of my friends.
5/16/2017 0 Comments Photoshop TutorialsThis week we learned how to create new projects in Photoshop from different tutorials. Polaroid Photo Bubble Effect Double Exposure Effect Link To Video I struggled a bit with some of these tutorials, but ended up learning a lot and using many tools, like layer masks. I am glad I did these tutorials because I learned a lot about photoshop.
5/15/2017 1 Comment Photo 7-AnimalI decided to shoot some photos of my dog this weekend. Before Editing After Editing Aperture: 3.2 Shutter Speed: 1/25 ISO: 400 I had a lot of fun with this photo shoot, but it was a little bit challenging because dogs like to move around a lot.
5/11/2017 3 Comments CollagesThis week, we learned how to composite several photos together into a final collage. We used a bunch of different blending tools to create these on Photoshop. PresentFutureI had a pretty easy time this week, and I liked getting to work with layer masks and all the blending tools so know I am more experienced in Photoshop.
5/9/2017 2 Comments Photo 5- MacroThis week I decided to shoot macro because it was finally nice, warm weather. Unedited Edited Aperture: 4.5 Shutter Speed: 1/1250 ISO: 100 I really liked shooting macro because I got to shoot more nature photos. One challenge was the wind, because it kept moving the flowers and my focus kept changing.
5/4/2017 0 Comments panographicsFor this project we learned how to take 20-30 photos in all different directions, and stitch them together into one final photo in Photoshop. I had a bit of a hard time doing this project, because it was so time consuming. I did not like doing the hand-stitched panographics, but in the end, I think they look better than the ones put together by Photoshop.
